World Transformations Listing Empty World Transformations Listing

Post by Gregzilla on Sun Dec 08, 2019 5:44 pm

For some worlds, there are known changes in look. Sora, Riku, Donald Duck, Goofy, and even Pete show this to be the case.

While these transformations are most often caused by Donald Duck infusing his magic into the transportation down to the worlds (hence why in the games Sora only changes in certain worlds without Donald around, or why Riku, Mickey, or Pete have only the bare minimum of changes without outfit changes in many cases), the mystical reality warp of the Great Convergence has instead suffused the entirety of the multiversal cosmos with this type of power. Some may have no access to it at all (resulting in them again only having the bare minimum of changes such as a change in color tone only), while others may have full body changes.

I thought it would be a good idea for us to have a place to list the alternative forms for each character in worlds where there is a transformation at all. This is for those who want a place to keep track.

First, a list of the general looks seems in order:

    • Space Paranoids: A circuitry-style suit covering the head and body, with distinctive colors. This outfit is brought in upon entry to the world, and does not require external magic.
    • The Grid: Similar to Space Paranoids, except the suits are more streamlined and modernized, with an updated color scheme. White is the most common color, though orange tends to designate ill intent. This outfit is brought in upon entry to the world, and does not require external magic.
    • Timeless River: Black-and-white, cartoonish style. If the person has an older outfit, it changes to be similar to that look. For the bare minimum, there is a change only to a black-and-white color tone, with everything else about their attire, including the non-cartoonish style, remaining the same.
    • Toy Box: A toy of some sort, from action figures to wooden toys to cloth or other types.
    • Monstropolis: A monstrous being, possibly with extra (or missing) eyes, tentacles, fur, and other pieces to them. Still can see or act normally, with the extra pieces being mostly decorative in practice.
    • The Caribbean: A style similar to that of the Golden Age of Piracy (1650-1730). Tricorne or bicorn hats, bandannas, fancy dress if warranted. May even have a ship on which to travel (though being able to man it may require others to work cannons depending on how it works). For a bare minimum, there could be no changes at all, resulting in them keeping the same outfits as normal at the expense of perhaps sticking out to an absurd degree from their surroundings.
    • Atlantica: A sea creature, most commonly a merman or mermaid.
    • Halloween Town: A Halloween costume that is startlingly realistic, appearing to actually be some kind of other being. Known variations include a vampire, a mummy, or a zombie. Some people may only be transformed into a darker shaded version of what they are already wearing, though this is extremely rare. For a bare minimum, there is a change to a darker color scheme to the traveler, as if their entire body is perpetually in shadows.
    • Christmas Town: If not held over as the same as Halloween Town, this look is more akin to a more Christmas themed look, such as a snowman, a reindeer, a Santa-esque outfit, or an elf. As a bare minimum, there is the same attire as in Halloween Town.
    • Pride Lands: Some form of animal, typically one native to the savannah. Those who arrive here and have no experience with a certain number of legs may have difficulty moving around, such as a traditionally bipedal person having to go on all fours. Known variations include lions, a tortoise, or a bird. Typically, due to the difficulty of holstering weapons, this world allows for summoning them to hand for convenience's sake. This change happens naturally upon entry to the world, and is one of the few required changes by inter-world mechanics, as showcased by Pete.

Now, here is the code for putting up listings of your own.
