Her most striking features are the pair of fox ears and fluffy fox tail.
Personality: Jess is an intelligent woman who can learn new subjects quickly. However she tends to only put her attention on topics that she is interested int. These topics she can focus on with a near single minded obsession. This does cause her to lose track of time and forget to take care of herself to a degree. The main thing that captures her focus is magic. When she is learning about magic she will put all her attention on it until she figures it out, to the point of ignoring others.
When Jess is not in her studying mood, she can be a bit egotistical and vain about her looks and intelligence. When she does take the time to take care of herself, Jess prides herself on her appearance and is not afraid to flaunt it. Despite how egotistical she can get, Jess believes in using her knowledge to help people and is always willing to use her abilities to lend a helping hand. This means the fastest way to get her angry is to destroy knowledge, gather it without willingness to use it or to lord it over others.
To those that are close to her, Jess is willing to show a bit of a lazy side to herself when she finally takes a break. She has no shame when around her boyfriend Will, in both how she looks and how she acts. She can get rather whiny and sulky when forced away from her studies but can be easily bribed to change her mood. With new she doesn't know too well or someone she just met, she tends to lean on her egotistical side more, until she gets to know them. Despite all that Jess is kind and generous with both her things, time and knowledge.
Powers: Jess has incredible magical ability and can use Fire, Thunder and Blizzard spells without any kind of focus. While she starts with those three kinds of spells she can also learn and cast Stone, Aero and Water spells the same way once she has learned of them.
Abilities: Jess can, after time to learn and study, cast all kinds of different spells even though she will never be able to reach the same mastery of them as she does her main magic. In order to use the spells she learns, she must use a talisman that she has to write up with the proper symbols. While she does keep a supply of talisman and a marker on her at all times, she must either prepare spells in advance or write them up in the middle of battle.

Equipment: A large supply of paper talismans, a black marker to write with and a notebook for her to write down her observations about spells and magic she has seen.
History: Jess was born to a average middle class family. Despite how smart she is, Jess never found herself too interested in her studies so she mostly coasted on by in school. She never really went out of her way to make friends and kept to herself, either reading of playing video games. It wasn't until high school where she met Will and finally started to break out of her shell thanks to him. As the two got closer eventually they started dating. Once they graduated Jess started to show some interest in the occult and started looking into it.
While she was studying it, she found a magic circle online and felt compelled to draw it herself. Once it was complete it started to glow and started to pull her towards it. Despite her best efforts to get away the force proved to be too powerful and when she touched it, in a flash of light Jess felt herself suddenly in a dark void. As she was pulled through that void she could see various ghostly figures of men and women. She came into contact with one of those figures, a woman with fox ears and a tail.
As soon as she touched that figure, Jess would find herself in an alley in Radiant Garden, her body changed and her mind fileld with new knowledge about magic.
