Haru has dark red eyes and blue, unkempt hair, the latter held back with a red, slightly torn bandanna. On his shoulder blades, he has two maroon, bat-like wings that are normally very small, but expand greatly when used for flight. Haru wears a tight black t-shirt that shows off his muscles, with a small yellow gem at the throat level holding together the collar. Over the shirt, he has a purple, short-sleeved jacket with some tears toward the bottom and a small silver chain holding it together at the front, along with black, fingerless gloves that leave a rectangular opening on the back of his hand. He wears two brown belts with gold buckles crossed in an X formation over his groin to hold up his blue jeans, which themselves are tucked into black sneakers over his feet.
Personality:
Haru can be quite the excitable yet somewhat naive guy. When it comes to worlds and people he tends to be easily amazed, especially when it has to do with heroes and adventures given his somewhat sheltered upbringing. His energetic attitude is somewhat mixed up with his clumsiness, making him prone to mess up and quickly panic as he tries to fix a situation. He is also prone to speak rather highly of himself or try to appear as so, mostly out of his sense to act like a hero or star he saw on TV.
Regardless, Haru has a kind heart and incredible determination, unlike many would assume of his kind. He is prone to speak from the heart, and as such, is able to sometimes get past the fronts of masks others put as he tries to look at them for who they really are.
Powers:
Haru's main ability is a power shared by all members of his family: The Oscurita Alma or Shadow Soul, as it's often called, which allows him to call control over his own shadow, turning it into a mana-based substance for him to mold to his pleasing. Despite often seen as the weakening, Haru has been able to create multiple techniques using this power, which he calls Umbral Morphs:
Umbral Arm - One of the most used constructs by Haru. It makes his shadow swirl around his arms and transforms them into a bulkier and shadow-constructed pair. For starters, this grants him an increased strength to allow the lifting and throwing of heavy objects. It's greatest ability, however, is the power to stretch these shadowy limbs to further distances. This can be useful to hit enemies at a distance, grab and swing around the area and even more. However, the stretching has a limit and only affects the shadow arms rather than other parts of his body. When playing his Demon Chord Axe, he can also cast the Umbral Arms separately, allowing him to have his hands free while also getting support by an extra pair of shadow arms which he can control with his mind.
Umbral Wings - By applying the shadow upon his wings, Haru is able to increase their strength as they expand, coating them in umbral power and allowing him to actually fly for a period of time at a rather impressive speed. It's downside however is that while its effect is applied Haru is unable to use any other Umbral Morphs while in this state.
Good for crossing long-distances on air or deal with airborne threats.
Umbral Shield - A variation in the Umbral arm construct, this allows Haru to transform his shadowy arms into a big shield to protect himself against projectile damage. While granting great defense, it also limits his movement and offensive skills while in use.
Umbral Roll - This construct completely engulfs Haru into an orb of shadows which he charges up by rolling in place, gaining kinetic energy before launching himself forward. In this state, he can roll and tackle at enemies with great power, but limits moveability a lot as it can be hard to direct around when rolling.
Axe skills: Due to the nature of his world, Haru can use a variety of powerful and flashy powers by using his Axe
Blouder Crush - With incredible strength, Haru slams his Axe's blade upon the ground and rips out a huge and hardened chunk before slamming it back down on his target as a striking mallet.
Yo-yo Trick - Charged with magic power, Haru throws his axe while spinning it int he air, slicing upon enemies before coming back to him in one swoop.
Wild Crescent - Following a pair of X-shaped energy slices, Haru rises in the air and slams down with demonic force upon his target.
Finally, due to his Overlord-related bloodline, Haru can access to what's known as an Overload; A powerful form and power unique to the demon individual. In Haru's case this is one known as Cerulean Anima, shifting Haru into an enhanced form where his abilities double in power. The nature of his power is fueled by his determination and spirit increasing his strength and speed.
Abilities: As many demons from his world, Haru possesses enhanced strength and agility as well as the ability to mildly sense magic and glide short distances by extending his wings. Also, as is the nature of his world, he can be very resilient, enduring great physical pain.
Weapons: Haru's main weapon is the nicknamed Demon Chord; A large axe with the shape and the properties of an axe guitar. Besides being a weapon which he can swing with ease due to his enhanced strength, he can also play music with it; Which allows him to better harmonize his shadow and pull off his Umbral Morphs quicker.
Equipment:
Retainers - While not exactly an equipment per say, Haru is usually accompanied by his Retainers; Franni the Undead Maid and Pringster the Prinny. They usually carry items for Haru and toss them to him in battle. From healing items, bombs, and one-use emergency weaponry. Most importantly, Pringster can use the ability known as Magichange to turn himself into a blade for Haru to use, allowing him to use Sword skills and deliver a series of energy crescent waves that explode.
(He can also be tossed as a last-resort bomb too!)
Awareness: No. While he does understand the idea of other worlds and at first glance he seems to have knowledge over terms like Stats and Titles on his own character screen, he is not aware that their worlds are part of a videogame of its own.

Haru comes from the prestigious and powerful line of Demons. His mother, Overlord Jikan, ruling over a once prosperous and strong Netherworld alongside his family, him specifically being the offspring of the last Demon King, who was in truth a human who wandered the worlds until he vanquished the previous Tyrant Overlord, saved the Netherworld from disaster and accepted to become a demon himself with his Queen at his side.
Haru admired his father's passion and strength, as well as his kind heart that was unlike other demons. Despite everyone telling him otherwise, he was set into becoming someone who he'd be proud off...
But this has been long ago, and after Haru's father passed away, the Netherworld slowly started to lose power, as well as his family growing bitter and more emotionally closed as partnerships and alliances started to get faulty and more hands started to enter into the Netherworld's main command.
Always put at the bottom of the chain, Haru was always out-staged and mocked by the rest of his siblings, alongside his mother herself. As such, the young boy grew more reclused and indulged himself into massive amounts of media; Games, anime, manga and the like. This made the desire to become a hero rather than an Demon Lord grew within his heart, until he decided his destiny lied elsewhere...
On a silent full moon night, Haru took some of the riches from the castle's depth, his two retainers and whatever he could bring with him inside a ship and fled into the cosmic seas of the multiple Netherworld to find his calling away from his family.
With an excited spirit and not much of a plan, Haru sailed and sailed, until the enveloping cosmos around him started to stop being part of his original universe, but of a much-expanded one thanks to a realm-shattering event.
Will the passionate demon prince find his calling in these new worlds? Or will more hardship await him?
