And a pair of camouflage jeans with a sheath on his back, similar to Luke's from Tales of the Abyss. He also wears a pair of brown sneakers. The nails on his hands are painted black.
Personality: Jonathan is typically a calm quiet person. Despite liking to dress like a goth, he doesn't behave like one. He is very polite to most people he meets. But he is also impulsive and does not back down when insulted or threatened. Jonathan is not afraid to neither fight back nor throw the first punch. While in battle, he's very attentive, he can be quite clumsy outside of it. While in the real world, he always held back, Jonathan believes that's its impossible not to take a life and prefers to kill only those he believes deserve it.
Powers: Jonathan has no powers himself.
Abilities: Jonathan is good at fighting, mostly because of all the fights he got involved back in the Realm of Reality. This includes using a pipe well enough that it gave him basic knowledge of using his scimitar.
Weapons: A scimitar he calls Spiegel. The weapon is capable of absorbing magic, mostly spells launched at Jonathan. Once it absorbs one, it takes on the element of the spell it absorbed. The stored spell can also be launched by aiming the point of the scimitar and willing it. It can only hold one spell at a time though, and only spells the same level as Jonathan or weaker. Spells stronger than Jonathan would cause the sword to overheat and become unusable for a while until it tempers and cools.
Equipment: An MP3 music player he always carries, a pair of headphones for it and a handheld charger he uses for it by spinning the crank.
History: Jonathan was born as the first child of his parents. He lived in the state of Florida in Tallahassee where he had two brothers after him. However, when he was eight, his father became sick and hospitalized. But after six months, his condition became worse and the cause was soon found. It was liver cancer but at the stage it was in, it was too late for treatment. He died soon after, which traumatized a young Jonathan. And caused him to become distant from his family. As he grew up, he began to pick fights and treat people coldly. His mother tried to get him therapy but Jonathan always skipped his sessions. He believed no one would understand his pain and refused to talk with a bunch of psychiatrists that didn't see living, breathing people who still suffered the pain of losing a loved one.
By the age of 14, he ended up being expelled from school, forcing his mother to move them to South Carolina, which also got him disowned by his grandmother for his behavior. But he didn't fare better there. In fact, he got worse. The next two years, had him spend days at time away from home and he always returned injured. It was getting to the point when even his mother was getting tired of his attitude. Only his youngest brother saw he had trouble letting go of his pain. But at the age of 16, it all changed. Having been held back due to his delinquency, Jonathan met 10 other students, one of them being his younger brother, Matt. There, one of them revealed he his own trauma. One by one, they spoke and Jonathan had a revelation. He had been acting selfishly since his father's death. Later that day, he returned home and for the first time in his life, he cried for his father's death.
Since then, he made the effort to socialize and get better with his studies, Which wasn't easy considering he still picked fights from time to time. But this time mostly from people who pushed others around. Even harder was trying to talk with his brother in attempt to apologize for the past, being constantly rebuffed at first but then started at least behaving politely around him in public. He also made a group with his friends and got a nickname as a result. To them, he was Gevurah, mostly because of how serious he tended to be and how he was physically stronger than the rest of them. But when he turned 18, one of his friends moved. And one by one, they all left. He was the only one to stay in South Carolina. After that, he focused on his studies most of the time, still getting into a fight or two in the process. By the time he turned 20, he had managed to graduate by the skin of his teeth and was already living with an uncle in the town of Athens, in the state of Georgia. One day, while he was working out, his 3DS began glowing all of a sudden.
As he picked it up, he was blinded by a searing light and fell on his back. When he got up, he found himself in the Station of Awakening. Seeing the same choices of the rod, shield and sword, Jonathan picked the sword mostly out of habit. It then changed into a scimitar and the crystal floor shattered, sending him into the void. When he next opened his eyes, Jonathan found himself at Station Heights. In his hand was a strange letter that told him he was in the Realm of Waking and that he would obtain his answers once he obtained a Gummi ship and left Twilight Town. Still shocked that he ended up in Kingdom Hearts, Jonathan nevertheless got to work on earning enough money.
He did so by mostly doing the poster jobs announcing a new ice cream shop, using a skateboard he found on the street. After about a week of work and spending the night in the abandoned mansion, Jonathan earned enough money to obtain a train ticket. Remembering how Sora got his Gummi ship, he got up on the train leading to the Mysterious Tower. Once there, he met Yen Sid who explained to him everything. How he was from the Realm of Reality and how he arrived at the Realm of Waking. However, he had no idea who left the letter for Jonathan, how he got it or why. Instead, he offered him a Gummi ship so he can search for the answers. Inside, he found another letter from the mysterious person guiding him, that implored him to explore and get a lead on his answers. With no other choice, he began the journey.
